“Rajkot Knee Club” managed by School of Physiotherapy, RK University (RKU) organizes monthly meet for their members on 3rd Saturday of every month, between 4:00 to 6:00pm at RK Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Research Centre, Bhaktinagar Circle, Rajkot. This month’s meet was held on 17th September, 2016.

Dr. Krupa Raithatha, Lecturer School of Physiotherapy, RK University took an interactive session on degenerative conditions of Knee joint and significance of exercises in the same. Mr. Akshay Kacha, Mr. Vipul Vasava and Mr. Rajesh Vasava, students of 7th sem BPT, School of Physiotherapy, RK University had demonstrated the exercises with theraband to the members of the club under the guidance of Dr. Krupa Raithatha and Dr. Khayati Tada.

These exercises will be helpful to improves strength of thigh muscle and enhances the stability during Activities of Daily living. More than 10 members of the group have learned the new technique of exercise for knee joint pain and how to do exercise correctly. All the members of the group appreciated the effort of SOPT, RK University for organising such events and also request to arrange such lecture in future also.
