MONTHLY MEET OF PARKINSON DISEASE SUPPORT GROUP (PDSG)

Meet of “Parkinson Disease Support Group (PDSG)” managed by School of Physiotherapy, RK University (RKU) organized on 10th September, 2016 between 4.00 to 6.00 pm at RK Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Research Centre, Bhaktinagar Circle, Rajkot. Now onwards meet of PDSG will be held on 2nd Saturday of every month. This time meet of PDSG conducted by 7th semester students Mr. Rajesh Vasava, Mr. Akshay Kacha, Mr. Lalji Baldania, Mr. Kamlesh Hadiya, School of Physiotherapy, RK University under the guidance of Dr. Khyati Tada, Clinical Therapist, RKPRRC. They have done dance based activities for the PDSG group members which enhances Balance , Walking Endurance , Strength , Flexibility and Functional mobility. Dance steps were first demonstrated by the students to the members and then they had actively participated in dance activity. After the dance stepping activity group members and students have discussed the significance of dance stepping as a part of exercise. More than 10 members have participated and enjoyed the event. All the members of the group appreciated the effort of SOPT, RK. University for organizing such events.
